Somos

“Somos” (2021) is the first commissioned piece of the National Museum of the American Latino. It’s a fifteen-minute video installation that explores themes of US Latino identity and assimilation, and it’s on display exclusively at the Molina Family Gallery, in the National Museum of American History. Directed, produced and edited by Alberto Ferreras. Cinematography by Alex Stikich. Sound design by Visionear’s Eduardo Larez. Motion graphics by Mouna Creatives.

Que Viva La Música

Andrés Caicedo’s emblematic novel was adapted by Alberto Ferreras, directed by Carlos Moreno, and produced by Dynamo (Narcos). “Que Viva La Música” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015.

The Lessons

“The Lessons” is a collection of short films that were shot in only four hours, after just one rehearsal. It won the Audience Award and the Best Alumni Film Award at the Sedona International Film Festival in 2020, and has earned honorable mentions and awards at multiple festivals around the world: Outfest, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Hong Kong LGBT Film Festival, Havana Film Festival NY, Newfest, Image + Nation in Montreal, Rozen Filmdagen in Amsterdam, and NY Shorts, to name a few. “Lesson #7” was license by HBO.

The cast includes Tony award nominees Lou Liberatore and Olga Merediz, who plays one of the leading roles in the upcoming film version of Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical “In The Heights”.
